The Fort Chanwa Luni was constructed by Kaviraj Muraridanji who was a minister in the court of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, the ruler of Jodhpur Marwar. The Fort Chanwa Luni is entirely carved out of Jodhpur red sandstone. The palace has a hoard of intricately carved windows or jharokas. The architectural plan of the fortress is such that the entire fort is a maze of accurately planned stairways, corridors, secret rooms, passages, towers and rooftops. The most attractive feature of this heritage palace hotel is the intricate latticework done on the windows all over the palace.
